Event images via AI: City apps receive updates

Note: The function is still in the BETA phase and will not be available in your community until the next update. Anyone looking for images for an event knows that this is not always easy. Many events have no images at all and even if there are, they are not always legally usable. This is where our new image search AI comes into play with the Mittelhessen app and our other city apps.

How does the image search for events work?

As usual, our search engine looks for public events and checks whether there are any images there. If this is not the case, our AI system kicks in. It searches for suitable event images that are free to use and adds them to our collection. The images come from Pexels, a platform for free stock images.

How do I recognize AI images in municipal apps?

How do you know that an image has been added by our AI? Each image selected by our AI has an overlay effect in the color of the respective app and a title in the center of the image. Also, the added image is mentioned at the bottom of the event page.

Important instructions

It may happen that the added image does not perfectly match the event. As a rule, however, the images are visually appealing. If the added image is inappropriate, please feel free to bring it to our attention. We are constantly working to improve our AI and make image selection even more accurate.

It is important to note that the organizer has no influence on the image selection. Nevertheless, he is welcome to provide us with pictures that we would be happy to add. make contact
