Together with the Grünberg start-up “dashdesign”, the municipality of Mücke has developed an app for residents and visitors.
All participating companies, clubs, organizations, schools and kindergartens are listed there. The entries include contact details, opening times, social media accounts and current information, which the owners edit themselves and keep up to date. The app also offers users great shopping vouchers, news from the community and newspapers, an event and digital waste calendar, a function for easily ordering taxis, an overview of gas station prices, flyers from the community and the opportunity to send the town hall feedback on any concerns.
The residents of Mücker's 12 districts also receive an overview of local suppliers, such as bakers, fish carts, Sparkasse bus, etc. There will also be a special page for tourists.
The app is financed entirely through partnerships and their income.
The app can be seen as the first step and basic framework for digitalization in our region. Companies no longer have to develop their own apps. You can use the “Mücke app” to offer small but useful functions. The app will continue to grow in the future and will also enable smaller companies to maintain an up-to-date internet presence and thus draw attention to themselves.
Data from the dashdesign; city apps was also to be combined so that users could access more functions and the region could become more closely connected. “I’m excited to see how the new digital medium will be received in Mücke,” said Mayor Andreas Sommer. He expected the technology to provide a comprehensive, modern information platform. “I’m looking forward to seeing events from the neighbouring municipality of Mücke in the existing Grünberg app in the near future. (…)”, said Konrad Mayer, Managing Director of dashdesign;, explaining the feature.
The app is scheduled to be released free of charge in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store in April. An exact date will be published soon. Versions for Huawei and Android devices without Google service, as well as for desktops, are also expected to appear. More on this later.
Companies, clubs and organizations can now register and secure “pre-release discounts” using the following link: dashdesign.eu/stadtapp/
