What this AI labelling tool does
The tool embeds a visible copy of the selected official EU icon into your image. Choose the meaning that fits the content and adjust design, size and opacity.
The pre-made 50% transparent files are not separate options because opacity can be adjusted directly.
Label an image in three steps
- Choose a JPG, PNG, HEIC or HEIF image.
- Select Basic, Fully AI-generated or Partially AI-modified and a light or dark design.
- Check the preview and download the result as PNG or JPG.
AI labels and the EU AI Act
Article 50 of the EU AI Act sets transparency duties for certain AI-generated or manipulated content. They apply from 2 August 2026 but do not automatically cover every image.
The EU icons are optional aids. A visible icon alone does not guarantee compliance or replace required machine-readable marking, contextual assessment or legal advice.

Can I use HEIC files?
Yes. HEIC and HEIF files are converted locally in the browser.
Does the icon automatically ensure AI Act compliance?
